The Pax 3 in silver

In a previous post which I wrote a little over two months ago here on VaporBlog, I outlined three new vaporizers that Pax Labs intended to release in the near future based on a marketing survey that they put out to a select number of clients. Sure enough, just a few days ago, Pax Labs released the details of their portable vapes, the Pax 3 and Pax Era! Although the Pax Air didn’t make the cut, I’m not too upset as I feel that the Pax 3 is small enough already and offers a lot more features than the Air would have.

Manufactured from medical grade materials and boasting an outstanding 10-year warranty, the Pax 3 looks to build on the successful Pax line of vaporizers by introducing a number of new features and major improvements over the Pax 2. One thing that I’m especially looking forward to trying out on the Pax 3 is the dual use heating chamber which allows you to vape both loose leaf and concentrates with ease. When I’m on the go I find that I enjoy vaping a long lasting concentrate, whereas when I’m relaxing at home I love vaping tasty loose leaf strains (see my explanation why here!). The second big improvement is that although the Pax 3 will have the same battery life and size of the Pax 2, it boasts a blazing fast 15 second warmup time compared to the 2’s 45 seconds! Another cool feature is the inclusion of a cellphone based app to fine tune certain aspects of your vaporization experience. Although some people dislike the idea of using an app with their vape, I’ve had good experiences with the Firefly 2 app as it helps keep the actual vaporizer sleek and simple while still allowing users full control over their unit. Moreover, you’ll also be able to update your Pax with the included app to make sure that you’re always having the best possible experience.

Aside from the Pax 3, the Pax Era is a small device intended for use with cannabis e-juice (see my guide on making your own DIY cannabis e-liquid here!) special replaceable ‘pods’ which are sold by various dispensaries. Much like the Pax 3, you’ll be able to fine tune your Era’s settings by using a handy app on your phone. Powered by a 2600 mAH battery, Pax Labs states that you should expect to get ’60 minutes +’ of use out of a fully charged battery. However, unlike the Pax 3 which is available online, only the Era body (and not the pods) will be available online on the Pax website with free shipping on September 29th. The pods (which contain cannabis e-liquid) will only be sold in select retail locations, and Pax Labs has stated on their site that they have “sold empty Era pods to Bloom Farms in California and The Clinic in Colorado, which fill the pods with various herbal extracts at their discretion.”

I’m definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the Pax 3 to review in the near future here on VaporBlog (it comes out sometime this October), as the Pax 2 is one of my favorite portable vapes currently on the market. If you’re interested in purchasing one of the best portable vapes on the market today, the Pax 3 can easily be ordered on Vaporworld, my favorite online vape store!
